What it's all about!

Yesterday we spent the entire day playing in the snow with our family! First we drove the fourwheelers over to JuJu's house for breakfast. We spent the morning there walking around and playing in the snow. Erick and Daddy went home to make ropes and bring back the toys! After hours in the snow at Julie's, we headed to Fred and Connie's for more! It was a great day and everyone had so much fun. I am not usually big on snow, but I got out there anyway, and had a blast! The only bummer was that the boys didn't get to make a snowman with their Granny :( Definitely next time!

Here is Kurt driving back to the house.

Julie and Chelsea playing in the snow

Chelsea, chilling in the snow.

I took this beautiful mother/daughter portrait.

Erick turns into a big kid when it snows (huge metamorphosis, i know) He could stay out there for days!

Here are all of my boys riding in the snow.

We had a couple of snowball fights...

Pam rode this thing forever! I don't know if she liked it or if Erick just wouldn't stop to let her off!

Erick went to Target to buy gloves and came home with this snowboard! I immediately started in on how he can not be trusted in any kind of retail situation and then he explained to me that he got this at 75% off which made me proud so I forgave him. And we ended up having a lot of fun on it!

Daddy was a great sport and drove everyone around on the snowboard for hours!

Here is Amy giving Jamie a little jumpstart!

Amy was actually awesome at snowboarding behind the fourwheeler, we didnt get any pictures of that though!

Motocross Freestyle

Saturday night, for our anniversary, we went to see Freestyle motocross at the Somet Center... It's a very ritzy affair, attended by many (high-class/white collar types) so it was perfect :) Erick actually talked me into going to one of these while we were dating, and surprisingly enough, I enjoyed it. It is crazy to see these guys doing the stuff they do and we knew that the boys would get a big kick out of it. And honestly, how much more romantic can you get for an anniversary weekend?

FYI, he's way up in the air!

This was the half-time show... instead of dirt bikes, they were on regular bikes... kinda dorky, but still pretty incredible!

It snowed...

It snowed on my birthday!!!! And school was even cancelled, that would have been way cool if I was in like middle school or something. I can't remember it ever snowing on my birthday before, I'm sure it probably has, but this is the first that I remember. My birthday has been awesome, I woke up to a "birthday massage" from my 5 year old... He has the karate chop technique down to a science :) Then my boys and I just snuggled in my cosy bed and watched it snow out the window. My mom came over and hung out for a while. She took these pics of me and my boys in the snow on my birthday.

Then I got to hang out with my friends Kyla and Nicki for a little while. Kyla brought pizza, a cake, and cupcakes for the boys. Then we went out to the studio and took some pictures of Isaiah. He did such a GREAT job, probably the best cooperation I've ever gotten from a 3 year old before :)

Please be praying for little Isaiah, he has to have a very serious surgery on Monday. There is a link to his caringbridge page under Chase and Mason's friends on this page.

Here is the pretty cake that Kyla surprised me with today, it was SO good!

My nephew Joey came over and brought me a birthday present (great candles!) and played with the boys while I took Isaiah's pictures. I also got a visit from Kim and Drew. She brought me a birthday present and a YUMMY honeybun cake... I didn't take a picture of it, but maybe I will just take a picture of me from the back in a day or two and you'll get what it's about!
And then before Erick, the boys and I went out to eat, Larie called to say that she had made me a cake! It is amazing, as all of her cakes are!!!! I LOVE IT!!! She made it all about me, and it is so cool! (there is a link on my page to her cake website)

I had to show off all of the detail, you will probably have to click on the picture to see it all, but she added my camera, and even my camera bag in it's exact colors, my computer, new clothes, shoes, EVEN accessories :) I love it love it love it, Larie. Thank you so much!

Larie dropped the cake off at my mom's since we were going over there anyway and she lives right next to her. So after opening my presents from mom and admiring the cake, the boys (all 3) and I went to Applebee's. Afterwards we stopped by Kurt and Joey's apartment and played a little Rock Band... I totally should have gotten a picture (or video would have been even better.) I played the drums while Joey played the guitar and Erick was our lead vocalist... very entertaining! Chase and Mason wanted to play so bad, but settled for being our audience. Then we came home, I read my book by candlelight in a bubble bath, watched Chelsea Lately, and went to bed. GREAT day!

We Are Bored!

Well, I had made plans to go to lunch with friends today, but that was before I knew there was a massive ice storm coming our way. I am totally and completely afraid of driving in the snow/ice so we for sure opted to stay warm and safe at home today. I am definitly not a home-body and especially since I had it in my head that I was going out today, I AM BORED!!! We decided after our 3rd (mini) breakfast, that we would all make a map. So, here it is... our joint effort island map...

This part is Chase's "town". The red house on the left is our house, and that is our pool beside it.....we like our pools the size of our house... that's just how we roll:) Then the blue and black line in the middle is the bridge going across the ocean (yes, i think it's the first one) and on the right is town... Chase's town that is.

This is "Mason's town." The green is the grass, the blue is the water, and the red is the "HOT BOVEN WAVA" and if you couldn't understand that, it translates into Hot Boiling Lava. I'm not sure what the black is?? I think it is his house. Oh, never mind, I just brought him in here and asked him and he says it is the desert, so there ya go.

This is "Mommy's town." If I ever got to have my very own island, it would have to come with a mall and super Wal-mart like this one.

And I will leave ya'll with this... It is a lovely poem written by my very talented sister, Julie... It was inspired by today's unexpected icy weather.

THERE IS AN ICE STORM OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT IT IS WARM IN MY HOME
SINCE I CAN NOT DRIVE
I MUST STAY HOME ALOME

WHY JUST ICE
WHY CANT IT SNOW?
I WANT TO FIND OUT
DOES CHRIS ALLEN KNOW?

ICE IS FINE
IN A GLASS,NOT A BUSH
BUT JUST STEP OUTSIDE
YOU'LL SLIP ON YOUR TUSH

YOU CAN NOT MAKE
A MAN MADE OF ICE
BUT A MAN MADE OF SNOW
NOW, THAT IS NICE

WITH NOTHING TO DO
AND NOWHERE, I'M GOIN'
JUST WANTED TO CHEER YOU
WITH MY LITTLE POEM

Hee Hee Hee, We write these little dumb spontaneous poems to each other a lot and she sent this to me this morning so I thought I would embarrass her and put it on the blog :)
