Chase's 6th birthday party

Okay, so I am a tad late on blogging this. Hopefully I will get the hang of being a kindergarten mom/preschool mom/preschool aide/stay at home mom/photographer etc........ and make time to blog more. Here are some pictures of Chase's 6th birthday party. We said that his 5th would be his last HUGE theme party so we just had a regular backyard birthday party with some chili and Star Wars cupcakes. I can't believe that he is 6 years old, but I am so PROUD of my 6 year old boy. He is an awesome kid!!!

Day at Mimi's

Yesterday Mason got to go to Mimi's to hang out with Jamison and Carver while Chase was at school. I think they had a big time, and then when I picked up Chase and drove out to Mimi's to get Mason, Chase wanted to stay and play. So, he did and they brought him home later. Both my boys got to have some good qt with their cousins! Here is the picture that Mimi emailed me of their day.

Attention Tooth Fairy

Well, that is my little Chase while he still had all of his teeth. He has finally lost a tooth! There have been 2 very very loose teeth for over a week now, and tonight was the night for one of them. Here are some of the pictures I have taken of Erick trying to get one out over the last week.

Mason really wanted to know exactly what was going on.

He had gotten himself so worked up that he wasn't even that excited when it finally came out!

I caught him smiling and looking at it in the mirror though before I had even had time to put my camera up :)

Mason's first day at Preschool!

Mason started 3 year old preschool this year :( He loves it, and is in Ms. Windy's class like Chase was. Chase, Karson and Tucker were seperated the second day, but so far, Mason has two full weeks in and hasn't been seperated from Isaac yet. Go Mason!

Chase had a Spider-man backpack for preschool, and Mason picked Star Wars for his first year. I cannot believe that he is so big. Where did the time go?

Here are Mason and Ethan passed out in the car after their first big day of preschool.

Baseball

All of my sisters were here this weekend and we had a lot of fun. Last night we all went to Steven and David's concert at the coffee house. Tina has a picture of all 4 of us girls and of Steven and David playing, but I will have to post those later. Today after church, we all (except for Kathy who had to go home) went to Kurt, Joey and Steven's baseball game. It was a beautiful day for a baseball game, and to top it off, our team WON! It was a great weekend, I love it when all of my sisters are here together!

So, this is funny if you know Harvey at all, but he asked me if I had a hat for him to wear in my van to shade him from the sun. This is all I had, Christian's redneck hat. I didn't think he would wear it, but he did and I had to take a picture. He didn't have to wear it long, because we were sitting in the shade, but it was fun while it lasted!! In case you can't read it, it says Redneck... it's a lifestyle. :)

This is Kathy and Joey at last week's game.

Here are me and mom at today's game. I told her she won't even want a copy of this picture since she hates my hair, but she said she loves me so she still wants one :) My sweet mom!

Chelsea and I were posing for a picture since we look alike now, and Joey ran up at the last second and jumped into the picture right as it snapped, great timing Joey.

This is also from last week's game. Joey bought Chase and Mason these Royals shirts and had their names put on the back for them. They LOVE them and I was excited to get a picture with them in their Royals uniforms with Steven, Kurt and Joey. Thanks Joey, you are an awesome big cousin!

Here is the picture of me with all of my sisters. Thanks for emailing it to me, Tina!

And here is one of the pictures of Steven and David playing...

No pictures.....

There are so many precious moments that I get with just me and the boys and of course there is no one here to photograph it!!. I already look back and see pictures of stuff we did 3 years ago and can barely remember it. I know I will really forget some of the times that we have when there are no pictures to look back and remember with. Tonight, as we were going through our new scheduled night time kindergarten-in-the-morning ritual, I realized how fast my time at home with Chase went and how fast the rest of this is going to go too so I thought I would start "journaling" some of the things we do even if there are no pictures to go along with it, just for memories sake. We have never gone to bed early, for the past 5 years, we have gone and done full force from morning until 10:00 or 11:00 at night (and later). So, this regular supper time, bath time, story time, and bed time is a new thing for us. And though the other was fun for then, this is pretty cool too for this time in our life. We had supper early, and were done with bath by 7:15 so we got our 'jommas' on went for a before dark four wheeler ride. Mason rode with me and Chase drove his. It was a gorgeous night and it felt so good, we all 3 got our sunglasses on to keep the bugs from going in our eyes and rode all over the farm for 30 minutes. It was so fun... Mason fell asleep as I figured he would so when we got back to the house, I put him to bed and Chase and I rode bikes in the driveway and yard until time to go in and go to bed. We raced down the little hill in our driveway and he bet me that I couldn't make a circle at the bottom without putting on my brake, and he was right, I couldn't. He could and he thought that was really cool. It was just such a fun night with them. Then we came in and read Green Eggs and Ham, and A Silly Snowy Day (very appropriate for an August night) in the recliner and I tucked him into bed. I am not used to this structured way of life yet, and I have always loved that we were fun and flexible and didn't have a structured schedule to our lives, but I am doing my best and know that with this new phase of school life, it is needed and beneficial and I think we are going to make it just fine, and still have lots of fun... just structured-y kind of fun!

I love my life!
